It's located in upper Chester county along side of the Broad River. I camp there sometimes, when I'm not camping in a lot more primative areas.. Nice place! check it out!

I have camped there numerous times.. Very Nice area. Boat ramp and fishingare 200 yards from the camping areas...

It's at the end of 574 right on the river...

There is also a shooting range as soon as you turn off of Woodsferry Rd

Woods Ferry Recreation Area, in western Chester County, lies within a beautiful wooded floodplain surrounded by upland pine woods and maturing hardwood forests. Campers and day-users can choose from a variety of activities: picnicking, fishing, canoeing, or horseback riding. Extended stay camping is allowed in campsites
19 – 29 (Loop cool.gif during hunting season--Sept., Oct., Nov., Dec., and Apr. Its location on the Broad River makes fishing and boating easily accessible.

Camping Facilities:

•28 family campsites with tables and grills-seven have horse stalls
•Two group campsites-one has horse stalls (10 & 30)
•Restrooms with hot shower; showers are shut off Nov. 1 – Mar. 31 to prevent freezing.
•Centrally-located water spigots
Loop A, Campsites 1 – 18

•$7/night for family site
•$14/night for group sites (10 & 30)
•Maximum 14-day camping limit

Loop B, Campsites 19 – 29

•$7/night
•$50/per 30-day period, September – December, April
•$150/seasonal use: September – December


Day-Use Facilities

•Picnic tables and grills
•Two group picnic shelters
•Boat launch
•No fee for day use


Reservations: Campground has self-service pay station. Campers have 30-minutes to pay for site at information/fee station.
