Here's the finished pics of the 8 I shot in Laurens cnty. Wednesday night. It was a lot of work doing the European mount but it was worth it and best part was it was 100% free other than about 10 hours of my time. I am going to give it a few weeks to dry completly then Poly coat the skull and plaque.

Thanks again all. I have gone back and restained the plaque a darker color to make the skull stand out a little more and added Oak pegs down each side of it for my shell casings. I have the shell casings from every deer I have shot except my very first. There's only 4 right now but considering I just started deer hunting again last year I have some catching up to do. Gave up on deer hunting for the most part about 7 years ago and started strictly hog hunting when I lived in Florida.

Stalker, i'm in the process of cleaning my own skull right now too. Any tips for getting it cleaned? I skinned it, boiled it and have it 90% clean. Seems that the last bits are the hardest. What do you suggest? Boil it again? Mine is also an 8. Thanks.

Sir- I respect the ammount of work you have put into youy trophy. I have quite a few euro mounts and I love them. A really cool thing you could do is to locate the bucks rub line and saw off the rub & lay it over his antlers. I am doing this with my last buck - I actually saw him rubing a cedar about 2 weeks prior to the kill. Congrats.
